Skylar Phenis

Skylar started his career in the Air Force as a signals intelligence analyst before moving into cybersecurity in 2014. He became an exploitation analyst working on multiple NSA projects leading cyber operations and tracking adversary campaigns. He then moved to the U.S. Air Force's red team as both a cyber threat analyst and operator, executing red team engagements and instructing blue teams how to detect and mitigate adversary activity. At Red Canary, Skylar analyzes trends and changes in TTPs to identify detection and threat hunting opportunities.
