Red Canary partners with Fortinet to bring MDR service to FortiGate firewalls

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Fortinet to extend the Red Canary MDR service to support a large number of Fortinet offerings. Our inclusion in Fortinet’s “Fabric-Ready Technology Alliance Partner Program” allows us to better serve security teams by providing greater breadth of coverage for threat monitoring.

Fortinet is a global leader in broad, integrated, and automated cybersecurity solutions. We at Red Canary recognized that as we execute our “MDR everywhere” strategy we must partner and integrate with leaders across the security industry.

Beginning with the line of FortiGate firewalls, Red Canary will ingest generated alert data and perform advanced analysis to provide greater visibility and threat monitoring. Our detection engine will help sift through benign or low-risk alerts while our team of detection engineers perform additional deep investigations into suspicious threats, reducing alert fatigue while also improving mean time to respond.

Red Canary will also be building out direct integration with the FortiAnalyzer. The FortiAnalyzer is a centralized security system across the Fortinet Security Fabric for advanced logging and reporting capabilities. By integrating with the FortiAnalyzer, Red Canary gains greater visibility into the Fortinet security stack and monitors for threats 24/7.

1. Red Canary integrates via API with your FortiGate firewall or your FortiAnalyzer to ingest alert data.
2. The Red Canary detection engine analyzes the alerts and surfaces potential threats.
3. Red Canary detection engineers investigate and confirm threats and publish full-context detections.
