He has a passion for driving improvements in defense-in-depth postures and is always looking forward to the next challenge.

Senior Information Security Specialist | Red Canary
Tess started her career as a student tinkering with old computer hardware, fascinated with programming logic and evidence left on computers after attacks. She first began studying malware and threat intelligence when working in a startup SOC, learning more as she participated in new incidents, trained new analysts, and published new reports on varying industry topics.

Josh Rickard
Senior Software Engineer | AppOmni
Josh is a Senior Software Engineer focused on building a highly scalable threat detection service at AppOmni. He’s experienced with PowerShell, Python, Golang, etc. and has released several open-source projects on GitHub (https://github.com/MSAdministrator). Josh has presented at multiple conferences including DerbyCon, BlackHat Arsenal, Hacker Halted, and numerous BSides events. He was awarded an SC Media Reboot Leadership Award in 2019 and participated in the Tribe of Hackers: Blue Team book.

Carrie is a red teamer turned blue. She previously worked as a web application developer for Hewlett-Packard and a Pentester at Black Hills Information Security. Carrie has a masters degree in Information Security Engineering (MSISE) from the SANS Technology Institute and is a GIAC certified Security Expert (GSE) and holds degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering.
