Ransomware TTX: Seven scenarios to include in your next TTX

This talk will delve into seven crucial scenarios that organizations should incorporate into their ransomware tabletop exercises (TTX) to enhance incident response preparedness. Beyond technical challenges, the presentation will explore key decision points within each scenario, including proper incident terminology, managing third-party forensics delays, cloud infrastructure impacts, off-network investigations, containment strategies and their consequences, handling widespread credential compromise, and addressing responder health and welfare. The goal is to equip attendees with practical insights on structuring these scenarios within TTXs and translating the outcomes into actionable process improvements, ultimately bolstering organizational resilience against ransomware attacks.
